DIYU notes
This is not only a place to see minerals, but also to see what human hands can do with them. Lapidary work, faceting, and competition give the same material entirely different light and surfaces. Even without knowing the techniques, comparing the finished pieces makes it easy to feel the beauty of a stone that has been treated with real attention.
