Awaiting Bloom
Some forms of growth
do not hurry to be seen.
Green mineral layers remain quietly
within the transparent quartz,
slowly gathering their form
beneath the crystal surface.
They have not yet come into bloom,
but neither have they stopped growing.
Like vegetation waiting
through a cold season,
the crystal preserves its strength in stillness,
preparing to unfold.
Waiting is not stagnation.
It is life continuing within,
moving toward a bloom
that has yet to arrive.
