骸骨水晶｜Elestial Quartz，是市場對具有複雜階梯、骨架狀、層疊晶面與多重終端之石英的稱呼，不是獨立礦物品種。

它最容易被辨認的地方，是表面不像一顆單純、平滑完成的石英晶尖。晶面會反覆退進、突出、分岔與疊加，使整體看起來像晶體在不同位置同時保留多個生長前緣。

這些形態通常應理解為石英在複雜、不均勻的生長條件下形成的 skeletal、stepped 或 re-entrant growth，而不能簡化成晶體成形後被風化、侵蝕而「吃掉」表面。

人們閱讀骸骨水晶時，往往不只是閱讀不規則，而是閱讀一個晶體如何在沒有收束成單一光滑表面的情況下，仍然完成自己的結構。

Elestial Quartz is a trade term for quartz with complex stepped, skeletal, layered, and multiple-termination growth. It is not a separate mineral species.

Its most recognisable feature is that the surface does not resolve into one simple, smooth quartz point. Faces repeatedly recess, project, branch, and overlap, making the crystal appear to preserve several growth fronts at once.

These forms are better understood as skeletal, stepped, or re-entrant quartz growth produced under complex and uneven growth conditions, rather than simply as a finished crystal later weathered or “eaten away” by erosion.

People are often drawn not only to irregularity, but to the way a crystal can remain structurally complete without converging into one smooth exterior.

In the DIYU Reading System, Elestial Quartz is not read through high-frequency energy, but through construction.

Elestial 這個市場名稱涵蓋的外觀並沒有單一、嚴格的礦物學標準。不同標本可能具有複雜多終端、重疊晶面、凹入生長、癒合痕跡或其他次生晶體；它們共同的視覺特徵，是表面保留了比一般單晶更複雜的生長層次。

The host mineral remains quartz, composed primarily of silicon dioxide, SiO₂. It crystallises in the trigonal system and has a Mohs hardness of 7.

Crystal growth does not always proceed at the same rate in every direction. When edges, corners, or local faces grow faster while other regions are restricted, the result can be hollow, stepped, recessed, layered, or skeletal forms commonly described as skeletal or hopper-like growth.

The trade term Elestial covers a range of appearances without one strict mineralogical definition. Specimens may show multiple terminations, overlapping faces, recessed growth, healing structures, or secondary crystals. Their shared visual character is a surface that preserves more complex growth architecture than a simple single crystal.

Some surfaces may indeed experience later dissolution or etching, but not every Elestial appearance should be explained as post-growth erosion. Growth morphology and later modification must be distinguished from the actual specimen.

To read Elestial Quartz is to observe how a crystal can preserve multiple directions and growth fronts at once, allowing completeness without smoothness.

Modern crystal culture often connects Elestial Quartz with transformation, ancient wisdom, spiritual elevation, and multidimensionality, and some trade narratives describe it as an “angel crystal” or material of unusually high vibration.

These are symbolic languages developed in New Age and commercial culture rather than mineralogical functions that can be demonstrated for quartz.

The material readily carries ideas of complexity, age, and multiple layers because of its appearance. A simple crystal point gives the eye one centre and one termination; Elestial Quartz presents recesses, steps, overlaps, and many terminations at once, leaving no single visual entrance.

Its most immediate cultural reading therefore comes from the idea that complexity can still remain coherent: an object does not need to be reduced to its simplest form in order to be complete.

Those who spend time observing Elestial Quartz often discover that its character lies not in strangeness, but in the fact that every recess and projection still participates in the whole.

A simple quartz point is easily read as growth converging from prism to termination. Elestial Quartz seems to open that convergence back up, allowing several local regions to keep growing at once.

No single small face needs to become the only protagonist. Steps, cavities, secondary terminations, and overlaps obscure one another while also supporting the overall structure.

Over time, Elestial Quartz has come to embody construction, branching, complexity, and coexistence.

DIYU 不將骸骨水晶閱讀成更高頻、更古老或更具有靈性力量的石英。

真正值得閱讀的，是一個結構如何在沒有被簡化的情況下成立。

我們很容易把完整想成平滑、對稱、收束：一個清楚的主體、一個終點、一條容易理解的路徑。

骸骨水晶沒有這樣完成自己。

閱讀骸骨水晶，不是把複雜浪漫化，也不是宣稱越複雜越珍貴。

DIYU does not read Elestial Quartz as a higher-frequency, more ancient, or more spiritually powerful form of quartz.

What matters is how a structure can remain coherent without being simplified.

We often imagine completeness as smoothness, symmetry, and convergence: one clear body, one endpoint, and one easily understood route.

Elestial Quartz does not complete itself that way.

It preserves several growth fronts at once, allowing recess and projection, primary and secondary faces, and the impressions of completion and continued growth to coexist.

To read Elestial Quartz is not to romanticise complexity or claim that more complexity means greater value.

It is to understand that completeness can be a relationship of organisation rather than the flattening of every branch into one surface.
