雷射水晶｜Laser Quartz，是市場對細長、修長、由較寬基部逐漸收束至尖端之石英晶體的稱呼，不是獨立礦物品種。

它最鮮明的視覺特徵，是晶體所有線條都朝向一個終端聚集，使整體產生強烈方向感。部分標本筆直而細長，部分略有彎曲或不均勻生長，但觀看仍會被尖端牽引。

近代水晶文化因此把它發展成「雷射刀」、「能量導向工具」等名稱；這些屬於使用文化與象徵語言，不是石英具有可驗證的能量束功能。

在 DIYU Reading System 中，雷射水晶閱讀的不是能量，而是方向。

Laser Quartz is a trade term for elongated quartz crystals that taper from a broader base toward a comparatively fine termination. It is not a separate mineral species.

Its strongest visual feature is the convergence of the crystal’s lines toward one termination, giving the entire form a pronounced sense of direction. Some specimens are very straight and slender, while others curve or grow unevenly, yet the eye is still drawn toward the point.

Modern crystal culture has developed terms such as “laser wand” and “energy directing tool” around this form. These belong to use traditions and symbolic language rather than a demonstrable ability of quartz to project an energy beam.

In the DIYU Reading System, Laser Quartz is not read through energy, but through direction.

雷射水晶的主體仍是石英，主要成分為二氧化矽 SiO₂，屬三方晶系，莫氏硬度為 7。

石英晶體的長寬比例、柱面發育與終端形態受到生長空間、流體條件、供料與生長速度影響。某些晶體在有限空間或特定生長條件下形成特別細長的柱體，市場便以 Laser Quartz 描述這類外觀。

「雷射」不是晶體學分類，也沒有全球一致的長寬比門檻。它主要描述視覺：細長、明確的軸向，以及相對集中的尖端。

自然晶體也不必完美筆直。微彎、表面紋理、不等長晶面與局部再生長，都可能保留在同一根細長石英上。

The host mineral remains quartz, composed primarily of silicon dioxide, SiO₂. It crystallises in the trigonal system and has a Mohs hardness of 7.

The proportions of a quartz crystal, development of its prism faces, and shape of its termination are influenced by available space, fluid conditions, material supply, and growth rate. Under some conditions, unusually slender prismatic crystals form and are marketed as Laser Quartz.

“Laser” is not a crystallographic classification and has no universally accepted length-to-width threshold. It primarily describes visual form: elongation, a strong axis, and a comparatively concentrated termination.

Natural crystals do not need to be perfectly straight. Slight curvature, surface texture, uneven faces, and local regrowth may remain on the same elongated crystal.

To read Laser Quartz is to observe how form directs the eye along an axis.

An elongated tapering form readily evokes beams, arrows, pen points, pathways, and pointing gestures, so Laser Quartz has accumulated impressions of focus, decision, breakthrough, and purpose.

New Age and crystal-healing traditions often describe it as a tool that concentrates, cuts, transmits, or directs energy. These are cultural practices extended from the laser metaphor rather than mineralogical or physical functions demonstrated for quartz.

Even without energy language, its directionality remains visually clear: width decreases toward the tip, and the gaze narrows with it.

The useful symbol is therefore not “how powerful” the crystal is, but how a form can progressively reduce the field of attention.

Those who spend time observing Laser Quartz often discover that its character lies not in extreme slenderness, but in the crystal’s persistent sense of pointing.

Prism, faces, and termination establish one dominant axis. Surface texture, curvature, and irregularity may remain, yet the principal direction still holds.

Unlike a cluster that expands toward many directions, or a double termination that divides attention between two ends, Laser Quartz gradually concentrates the gaze toward one point.

Over time, Laser Quartz has come to embody direction, focus, convergence, and decision.

DIYU does not read Laser Quartz as an energy-cutting or energy-transmitting tool.

What matters is how form narrows attention.

Direction is not speed and does not guarantee arrival. The crystal simply makes one thing visible: as width decreases, many possible paths of observation are excluded until a more concentrated orientation remains.

Focus therefore does not require treating every other possibility as wrong; it is the choice of which axis to follow within limited time.

To read Laser Quartz is not to search for a tool that makes decisions for us.

It is to understand that direction becomes clear not because the world contains only one path, but because attention has chosen one of them for now.
