Golden Himalayan Quartz | Hashupi, Pakistan | Continuum | Diyu | B01-001
描述
Some mountains are cut short.
But the language doesn't necessarily stop.
---
The starting point of this piece came from a mountain I saw inside a crystal.
Between the interplay of light and minerals, layers of terrain could be vaguely discerned, as if a section of an unfinished landscape was sealed within the crystal.
So I began to wonder:
What if that mountain didn't stop?
What if it continued to extend outwards?
---
"Continuation" is not about creating a display stand for a mineral.
Rather, it's an attempt to respond to the clues left by the mineral itself.
The base uses natural tiger's eye stone as a support, following the terrain and flow within the crystal, allowing the structure originally contained within the mineral to return to the space.
The two are not in a subject-and-base relationship.
Instead, it's more like the same section of terrain, cut by time, meeting again.
The base uses natural tiger's eye stone as a support.
The crystal and base are not intentionally fused completely.
Instead, a clear, visible connection is preserved at their intersection.
This is not a trace of construction.
It is the part that the work truly intends to discuss.
---
The starting point of "Continuation,"
comes from a section of terrain cut off inside a crystal.
Therefore, the connecting point is not hidden.
Instead, its presence is intentionally preserved.
Like the cross-section left when a mountain is cut by time.
And like a section of unfinished terrain, finding its direction to extend forward again.
---
When viewed from a distance,
the crystal and the base form the same section of terrain.
And when viewed up close,
one can see the boundary where two different materials meet.
---
Because what "Continuation" discusses,
is not how to eliminate boundaries.
But under the premise of existing boundaries,
to let the language continue forward.
---
This is also the starting point of the Diyu B01 "Conceptual Language" series.
Not imitating nature.
Not copying nature.
But following the traces left by nature, moving forward.

小心
Natural crystals undergo a long geological formation process, and each piece possesses a unique texture and structure.
To ensure your piece lasts a long time, we recommend:
- Avoiding collisions, drops, or strong pressure.
- Avoiding prolonged contact with acidic or alkaline cleaning agents and chemical solvents.
- Using a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away dust and keep the crystal and base clean.
- Avoiding prolonged exposure to humid, high-temperature, or direct sunlight environments.
- When moving the piece, please support both the base and the crystal with both hands, avoiding lifting only the crystal.
DIYU's pieces are all made with natural crystals and handcrafted bases. Each piece will have slight variations in texture, color, mineral imperfections, and handmade details. These are all part of the piece and are traces left by time.
設計
Every crystal possesses its own landscape.
DIYU does not alter nature but instead creates a space for it to continue existing.
Each base is designed according to the crystal's natural form, extending its direction, balance, and presence, while also allowing for individual removal and appreciation.
Each piece is unique, created only once.
