Stratification

有些山脈存在於地表，
有些山脈，
則藏在山脈之中。

灰色幽靈一層又一層停留於透明晶體內，
如古老地勢被封存在石英之中。

它不是一座完整的山，
而是許多次生長、沉積與改變，
共同留下的結構。

《層疊》順著晶體內部的山勢，
將原本封存其中的層理向外延伸。

不是重建地景，
而是讓礦物內部的時間，
再次顯現。

Stratification

Some mountains exist upon the surface.
Others remain hidden
within mountains themselves.

Layers of grey phantom formations
rest inside the transparent quartz,
like ancient terrain preserved within stone.

It is not a single completed mountain,
but a structure formed through repeated growth,
deposition, and change.

Stratification follows the terrain
already present inside the crystal,
extending its inner layers outward.

It does not reconstruct a landscape.

It allows the time held within the mineral
to become visible again.

創作說明｜Concept Note

《層疊》關注的不是自然景觀本身，
而是地貌如何形成。

作品以青龍石承接灰幽靈水晶，
順著晶體內部層層堆疊的方向，
將封存在礦物中的山勢延續至外部。

晶體與底座之間的交界並未完全隱藏。

那不是需要消除的施工痕跡，
而是兩種物質相遇後形成的界面：

如地層彼此交疊，
如岩脈穿過母岩，
也如山體在不同年代累積出的層理。

遠看時，它形成一片完整地勢；
靠近時，則能看見材料、時間與結構之間的邊界。

因為層疊並不是消除差異，
而是在差異之中形成新的結構。

Concept Note

Stratification is not concerned solely
with the appearance of a landscape,
but with the process through which terrain is formed.

The grey phantom quartz is supported by Qinglong stone,
following the layered direction already visible
within the crystal and extending it outward.

The boundary between crystal and base
has not been completely concealed.

It is not an imperfection to be removed,
but an interface formed where two materials meet—

like strata overlapping,
a mineral vein passing through host rock,
or a mountain accumulating layers across time.

From a distance, the work appears as a continuous terrain.
At close range, the boundaries between material,
time, and structure remain visible.

Stratification does not erase difference.

It forms a new structure through difference.
