The mineral world is not composed only of a few large and familiar families.
Some minerals contain numerous varieties, localities, and market names, making them suitable for extensive classification systems. Others currently require only one or several reading entrances within the DIYU Reading System, yet still possess distinct structures, formation histories, and cultural contexts.
“Other Minerals” does not mean that these minerals are secondary or unimportant.
It is a temporary navigation category for minerals that already deserve individual reading pages but have not yet developed into large classification trees.
This section currently includes:
Spodumene, Prehnite, Epidote, and Mica.
They do not belong to one mineral family and do not share one chemical composition. They are placed together here only to create a clear and maintainable website entrance.
When one of these mineral groups develops additional varieties, forms, localities, and related works, it may leave this section and receive an independent classification page.
