導言|Introduction

變化,是自然在不同條件下持續重塑自身的結果。

火山透過高溫、熔融與冷卻形成新的地表;沙漠在乾燥、風化與風力搬運中不斷改變;戈壁則以裸露岩石、碎礫與長期侵蝕保存環境留下的痕跡。

在礦物中,溶蝕、覆蓋、風化、再結晶與表面改變,也可能形成相近的轉化結構。

在 DIYU Reading System 中,變化閱讀的是:

重塑、適應與留下。

Transformation is the result of nature continually reshaping itself under changing conditions.

Volcanoes create new terrain through heat, melting, and cooling. Deserts change through dryness, weathering, and wind. The Gobi preserves exposed rock, gravel, and traces of prolonged erosion.

Within minerals, dissolution, coating, weathering, recrystallisation, and altered surfaces may create comparable structures of transformation.

In the DIYU Reading System, Transformation is read through:

reshaping, adaptation, and what remains.


火山|Volcano

火山由地底物質向上釋放,並透過熔岩、火山灰與冷卻作用重新形成地表。

在礦物中,熔蝕狀表面、深色礦皮、氣孔般凹洞、燒灼感色澤與粗糙結構,可能形成火山地景的閱讀。

火山的重點不是破壞本身,而是原有狀態被改變後,新結構如何形成。

火山的閱讀來自:

釋放、重組與生成。

A volcano releases material from beneath the surface and reshapes the land through lava, ash, and cooling.

In minerals, etched surfaces, dark mineral skins, cavity-like textures, burnt tones, and rough structures may evoke volcanic terrain.

The volcano is read through:

release, reorganisation, and formation.


沙漠|Desert

沙漠由乾燥、溫差、風力與長期風化共同形成。

在礦物中,霧面表皮、細砂質感、圓蝕邊緣、乾裂紋理與大片留白,可能形成沙漠般的空曠與乾燥感。

沙漠不是沒有變化,而是變化以緩慢、反覆與移動的方式持續發生。

沙漠的閱讀來自:

裸露、移動與節制。

A desert forms through dryness, temperature change, wind, and prolonged weathering.

In minerals, matte surfaces, granular textures, rounded etched edges, dry fracture patterns, and broad open areas may evoke desert terrain.

The desert is read through:

exposure, movement, and restraint.


戈壁|Gobi

戈壁以裸露岩地、碎石、礫石與稀疏覆蓋為主要特徵。

相較於沙漠的流動沙丘,戈壁更強調堅硬地表經過長期風蝕與搬運後留下的殘存結構。

在礦物中,破碎母岩、粗礫質感、不規則礦皮、稀疏晶體與大片裸露表面,可能形成戈壁般的閱讀。

戈壁的閱讀來自:

殘留、堅持與空曠。

The Gobi is characterised by exposed rock, gravel, scattered stones, and sparse covering.

Compared with shifting sand dunes, it emphasises hard terrain shaped by prolonged erosion and transport.

In minerals, broken matrix, coarse textures, irregular mineral skins, sparse crystals, and broad exposed surfaces may evoke the Gobi.

The Gobi is read through:

remains, endurance, and openness.


礦物中的變化|Transformation in Minerals

閱讀礦物中的變化,可以觀察:

  • 表面是否存在溶蝕、風化或粗糙化;
  • 原有晶形是否被覆蓋、破壞或重新生長;
  • 裂隙是否出現後期礦物填充;
  • 礦皮與母岩是否保存環境作用;
  • 色彩與透明度是否因不同生長階段改變;
  • 缺口與殘留結構是否共同構成完整外觀。

變化不只發生在晶體形成之後。

許多礦物本身,就是多次生成、溶解與再生共同留下的結果。

To read transformation within minerals, observe:

  • whether surfaces show dissolution, weathering, or roughening;
  • whether original crystal forms were covered, damaged, or regrown;
  • whether fractures contain later mineral fillings;
  • whether mineral skins and matrix preserve environmental effects;
  • whether colour and transparency change between growth stages;
  • whether gaps and remaining structures contribute to the whole form.

Transformation does not occur only after a crystal has formed.

Many minerals are themselves the result of repeated formation, dissolution, and renewed growth.


閱讀印象|Reading Impressions

變化常被理解成完全成為另一種狀態。

但自然中的變化通常不會消除全部過去。

火山形成新地表,也留下熔岩與火山灰。

沙漠不斷移動,也保留風化痕跡。

戈壁看似空曠,卻由大量殘留與碎片共同構成。

因此,變化逐漸形成:

破壞、重組、適應、殘留與生成。

Transformation is often understood as becoming something entirely different.

Yet change in nature rarely erases everything that came before.

Volcanoes create new terrain while leaving lava and ash.

Deserts move while preserving weathered surfaces.

The Gobi appears open, yet is formed through countless remaining fragments.

Transformation therefore develops into:

disruption, reorganisation, adaptation, remains, and formation.


DIYU Reading

DIYU 不將變化閱讀成必須拋棄原來的一切。

自然中的轉化,通常同時包含失去與保留。

晶體可能被溶蝕,但部分晶面仍然存在;表面可能被覆蓋,原有結構卻仍能從下方辨認;斷裂之後,也可能形成新的晶體與連接。

因此,改變不等於否定過去。

新的結構往往正是建立在原有痕跡之上。

閱讀變化,不是要求自己立即成為另一個樣子。

而是理解:當條件改變,哪些部分需要被重組,哪些部分仍值得留下,以及新的完整如何由兩者共同形成。

DIYU does not read Transformation as a demand to abandon everything that existed before.

Change in nature usually contains both loss and preservation.

A crystal may be dissolved while some faces remain. A surface may be covered while the original structure is still visible beneath it. Fracture may also be followed by renewed crystal growth.

Change does not deny the past.

New structures are often built upon earlier traces.

To read Transformation is not to demand immediate reinvention.

It is to understand what must be reshaped, what remains worth preserving, and how a new whole may emerge from both.
